A sore throat is a painful, dry or scratchy feeling in the throat. When a person suffers from throat pain while swallowing, while drinking water, etc., it is called a sore throat. Usually, a sore throat is also called throat pain, it may be due to cold.
Sore throat can be mainly of two types, which are as follows:
1. Viral Throat: When a person has a sore throat due to viral infection, it is called viral throat. This type of sore throat begins with cold, which after some time takes the form of fever.
2. Bacterial Throat: Also, some sore throat is caused by exposure to bacteria. In such a situation, taking antibiotics may prove effective, thereby correcting bacterial throttle.
